DataReign launches to deliver outcome-based data and AI transformation
Introducing DataReign, the Empiric Group’s specialist data and AI consultancy, combining specialist expertise, delivery leadership and accountability for agreed outcomes.

DataReign, the Empiric Group's specialist data and AI consultancy, has launched following the rebrand of Empiric Professional Solutions (EPS), with a renewed focus on delivering complex transformation programmes for enterprise organisations.
Led by Omer Saadet, Managing Director of DataReign and Empiric, alongside Rees Fox, Engagement Delivery Manager, and Jack Richardson, Practice Lead and Solutions Consultant, DataReign helps organisations turn complex transformation strategies into delivered outcomes.
The business builds on more than 20 years of technology and transformation experience across the Empiric Group, with six global offices and work delivered across more than 40 countries.
Why DataReign?
Organisations can recruit individual specialists to fill capability gaps or engage large consultancies to manage major transformation programmes. But there is often a gap between the two.
Even with the right people and technology in place, enterprise organisations can find themselves coordinating multiple suppliers, managing dependencies and carrying responsibility for delivery.
DataReign addresses this gap by combining specialist expertise with delivery leadership and accountability for agreed outcomes. The team can support early discovery, take responsibility for defined work or help recover programmes that have lost momentum.

Explaining the thinking behind the relaunch, Omer Saadet said:
"We've developed DataReign to address a clear need in the market. Organisations need access to experienced specialists, but they also need partners who can take responsibility for delivery without the complexity of a traditional consultancy engagement.
"Our approach is to understand the challenge, bring together the right expertise and remain accountable for the outcome. Just as importantly, we want organisations to have the knowledge and capability to build on that work themselves."
What DataReign delivers
DataReign works across government, defence, energy, utilities, advanced manufacturing, retail and technology.
Its services cover sovereign data and AI, enterprise systems and core modernisation, programme delivery, embedded specialist teams and workforce transformation.
Each engagement starts with the organisation's objectives. The team agrees the intended outcomes, responsibilities and measures of success before shaping the delivery approach around the work.

Rees Fox oversees delivery, governance and client relationships, coordinating specialist teams and suppliers to keep programmes on track.
"Successful delivery depends on clear accountability, effective governance and visibility across the programme. Organisations need to know where things stand, what risks need addressing and whether the work is delivering against their objectives.
"Our role is to bring that oversight and keep everyone focused on the agreed outcomes."

Jack Richardson leads discovery and solution development, helping organisations define requirements and identify the expertise and delivery model needed.
"Getting involved early means we can properly understand the problem before deciding how best to deliver the solution.
"That might involve an embedded specialist team, additional programme leadership or taking responsibility for a defined outcome. The approach should always reflect what the organisation is trying to achieve."
Built on established delivery experience
DataReign builds on active and completed client work delivered through EPS and Empiric Solutions, including programmes for Smiths Detection, Ocado, Hotel Chocolat, Babcock International and UK Home Office teams.
This includes Workday programme delivery for Smiths Detection, international payroll transformation for Ocado, enterprise data strategy and reporting for Hotel Chocolat, and secure SAP data engineering across three Babcock defence sites.
The team has also supported Home Office and policing programmes covering critical infrastructure governance, data-centre migration, knowledge transfer and live-service capability.
Specialist teams built around the work
DataReign combines its core team with a network of senior Lead Associates, bringing together experienced practitioners across data, AI, enterprise architecture, governance, product delivery and transformation.
Teams are assembled around each engagement's requirements, drawing on programme managers, solution architects, data engineers, governance specialists and other specialists as needed.
Lead Associates can contribute during discovery and solution design as well as delivery, providing access to the right expertise from the start.
Exit by Design
Knowledge transfer is built into DataReign engagements from the outset through an approach called Exit by Design.
The team documents technical work and decisions, involves the organisation's own teams throughout delivery and ensures they understand the systems and capabilities being developed.
The aim is for organisations to own, operate and continue developing the capability once the agreed work is complete, without ongoing dependence on DataReign.
